Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Senior Scientist in Cambridge, MA to advance tissue-based biomarker assays (IHC/ISH/FIHC) for clinical trials and exploratory research. You will work with an OPB sub-team, supporting oncology programs and potentially transferring work to CROs for external studies.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field and 2 years of experience with IHC, IF, and histology, with telecommunication/remote work options and a strong emphasis on assay development and data analysis.

Qualifications

Master's degree in biology, cell biology, neuroscience, or a related field.
2 years of work experience in the job offered or related position; and
Immunohistochemical, Immunofluorescence techniques, Histology.

Responsibilities

Senior Scientist will work within a sub-team of OPB, primarily passionate about tissue based biomarker assay development (e.g., IHC, ISH, and FIHC) for eventual transfer to external contract research organizations as part of clinical trials or for exploratory research on preclinical and consented clinical and commercial samples.
Senior Scientist will help support programs across a wide range of therapeutic modalities and disease indications within Oncology and have opportunities to develop additional skills in image analysis and participate in technical development within OPB.
