Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to build high-performance backend services and APIs in a 100% remote setting. You will craft scalable systems using Rust, Actix or Axum, and work with asynchronous data paths, PostgreSQL, and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on systems programming.
• Strong expertise in Rust and building performance-critical backend services.
• Proficiency with web frameworks like Actix or Axum and asynchronous patterns.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, gRPC or JSON-RPC, and cloud deployments on AWS.
• Deep understanding of low-level networking and high-performance system architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services and APIs using Rust.
• Implement asynchronous patterns to handle high-concurrency workloads.
• Manage data persistence and optimize queries with PostgreSQL.
• Develop and integrate communication protocols using gRPC or JSON-RPC.
• Deploy and manage cloud-based services within AWS environments.
• Ensure system reliability through testing and memory-safe optimizations.
