BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Rust to join our fully remote global team. You will develop high-performance applications, leveraging Rust's safety and efficiency to deliver scalable systems across domains.

As part of a 4+ year-experienced team, you will design concurrent services, optimize for memory safety, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to integrate modules into larger architectures. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering focusing on Rust.
• Proven expertise in building high-performance apps with Rust.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming and Tokio.
• Hands-on experience in systems programming or embedded development.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, concurrent applications using Rust and the Tokio runtime.
• Utilize Rust’s ownership and borrowing model to ensure memory safety and eliminate data races.
• Develop asynchronous network services and low-level system components optimized for performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Rust-based modules into larger software architectures.
• Optimize and profile code to maintain a tiny resource footprint and predictable execution.
• Maintain high code quality through rigorous testing and documentation within the Rust ecosystem.
