Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned Rust Developer for a fully remote US-based role. The candidate will design, build, and optimize high-performance distributed systems and cloud-native components with Rust, focusing on concurrency, memory-safety, and scalable APIs.

You will collaborate with platform engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver secure, reliable backend services and infrastructure tooling in a distributed cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Six-plus years of professional software engineering experience.
• Three-plus years of hands-on Rust development in production.
• Strong Rust language proficiency (ownership model, lifetimes, generics, macros).
• Experience with async Rust (Tokio, async/await, Futures) and web frameworks.
• Understanding of concurrent programming and high-performance systems.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
• Cloud-native apps on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Proficient with Linux production environments and CLI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using Rust for large-scale distributed systems.
• Build low-latency APIs, async processing services, and event-driven microservices.
• Develop networking applications (TCP/UDP/HTTP2/gRPC/WebSockets/QUIC).
• Leverage Rust async ecosystem (Tokio, async/await) for concurrency.
• Ensure security, observability, and reliability in production systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD and IaC deployments.
• Diagnose complex production issues across networking, memory, and concurrency.
