GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to develop a comprehensive Risk Management Plan and drive identification, evaluation, treatment, and governance of project risks on large-scale EPC projects within Advanced Nuclear, including Small Modular Reactors.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on analytical capability, and the ability to communicate with senior leadership. Travel up to 20% and remote work options are available as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited university.
• Proficient in using industry standard tools for Planning and quantitative risk analysis involving monte carlo simulations – such as P6, SAFRAN or equivalent.
• At least 8-10 years of relevant work experience in nuclear industry engineering/operations, or planning, project controls, project management, risk management, construction management, contracts management or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of risk management or project controls experience
• Solid understanding of power projects life cycle, project risk management principles, relevant technical, financial and Contract terms.
• Ability to handle many complex issues/projects concurrently
• Willingness and ability to travel globally 20% of the time

Responsabilidades

• Leads Risk Management activities within Advanced Nuclear involving Small Modular Reactors for large-scale EPC Projects.
• Lead and manage Risk & Opportunity identification, discussion & mitigation actions throughout the entire Project life cycle, with follow-up and problem solving on open risks.
• Drives risk related daily management routines, operational risk reviews, and performance tracking, supporting leaders in resolving bottlenecks via structured problem solving.
• Demonstrates strong hands-on analytical capability, moving between detailed data analysis, operational reviews, and senior leadership communication.
• Exhibits leadership, influencing and management skills, with ability to work independently and communicate across all organization levels.
• Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: collaborate with Project Management, PMO, functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure Risk Management priorities are understood and delivered.
• Serve as expert and primary point of contact for Risk Management within the Project team.
• Benchmark internal & external risk management processes and best practices.
• Refine and improve processes, KPIs, and communication rhythms.
