Job summary

Percheron LLC is seeking a Sr. Right of Way Agent to manage negotiation, acquisition, and documentation for land rights on construction projects. You will research ownership interests, obtain permits, and resolve title and zoning issues while coordinating with landowners and project teams.

Ideal candidates have deep ROW knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. You will prepare reports and ensure compliance with client procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of two years of experience in the Right of Way industry.
• Excellent working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and right of way policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
• Strong understanding of property valuation, survey drawings and alignment sheets.
• Ability to complete right of way transactions independently.
• Experience with acquisition and relocation documents, notices, processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Research, negotiate and elect to purchase short- and long-term land rights for ROW on construction projects.
• Identify land ownership interests and manage permits and permit requirements.
• Oversee land-related legal issues including titles, deeds, mortgages, and zoning.
• Prepare daily activity and special reports on complex negotiations for easements and settlements.
• Conduct due diligence to ensure accuracy of land rights and address deficiencies.
• Serve as liaison with landowners on ownership, easement rights, damages and access issues.
• Review third-party development plans and ROW records to detect conflicts.
• Maintain regular status with supervisor to ensure assignment is completed per client procedures.
• Work in office or in the field as required.
