Cardinal Health is seeking an Analyst Team Lead to serve as the senior operational resource for the AR Analyst Payer Pod, providing expert billing knowledge and daily guidance. This role will mentor the team, handle complex issues, and drive adherence to policies and revenue cycle goals.

The position emphasizes leadership without direct supervision, with responsibilities spanning process improvement, escalation management, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience with insurance billing and processing claims preferred.
• 3 years’ experience with Medicare claims, and Medicare and private insurance verification preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance portals; familiarity with medical and/or insurance terms or practices.
• Proficiency in basic math and business calculations.
• Working knowledge of computer/data entry with the ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the SME for Accounts Receivable processes, billing regulations, payer requirements, and claims resolution.
• Provides day-to-day leadership and technical support to AR Representatives to ensure quality and productivity.
• Acts as the first escalation point for complex billing, claims, payer, and account issues.
• Monitors team performance with Supervisor to identify workflow improvements and support initiatives.
• Coaches, mentors, and trains team members while reinforcing best practices.
