Job summary

Empower Careers is seeking a Senior Workplace Planning Consultant to provide comprehensive retirement and financial wellness guidance for participants in employer-sponsored plans. You will guide customers through decision points, build relationships, and help individuals make informed distribution choices.

The role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills, a fast-paced mindset, and excellent follow-through on both inbound and outbound calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in financial services, retirement planning, or advisory environments.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Good understanding of IRAs, retirement investment products/services and the qualified retirement plan environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and ability to handle stressful situations and people on a daily basis.
• Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software and file manipulation skills on a PC.
• Ability to quickly learn Empower's record keeping system, Salesforce software.
• FINRA 7 & 66 registrations required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with customers by delivering personalized service and respond to a variety of plan and policy-related questions.
• Relay accurate information and provide clear and concise communication of policies and procedures.
• Retain assets through education and guidance of available plan specific and general distribution options.
• Engage in a dialogue to educate customers in making informed distribution decisions and the advantages of participation in a company sponsored retirement plan or an individual retirement account.
• Deliver optimal solutions to customers in every interaction.
• Engage with peers to problem solve and deliver results.
• Use innovative tools and services to find the best options and strategies for retirement planning needs.
• Meet monthly and annual sales and service goals.
