Job summary

NinjaOne seeks a Senior Release Manager to own and rebuild release management for its SaaS platform. You will define release-readiness, drive automation, and partner with engineering to standardize processes across teams.

You bring 8+ years in Release Management, hands‑on deployment experience, canary/blue‑green strategies, and a track record of final go/no‑go authority. This role offers remote/hybrid work within the USA and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Release Management for SaaS or cloud‑native platforms.
• Experience building release processes, release automation, or CI/CD pipelines from the ground up.
• Direct hands‑on experience with canary, blue‑green, or rolling deployments.
• Track record of final go/no-go authority on production releases.
• Experience enforcing release‑readiness standards across teams without manager escalation.
• Proven experience managing releases at scale across distributed microservices.
• Experience with staged or sequenced multi‑region release rollouts.
• Fluency with release tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Artifactory) you configured yourself.
• Strong documentation discipline and ability to document a release process from scratch.
• Working knowledge of AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Hold final go/no-go authority on production releases and execute deployments with ownership.
• Define and enforce release‑readiness criteria across engineering teams.
• Build and maintain end‑to‑end release automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and execute rollback plans and manage incident response during releases.
• Establish escalation paths for live release issues and drive rapid resolution.
• Track release health metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR).
• Document end‑to‑end release processes from scratch and refine to reduce risk.
• Lay groundwork for staged, region‑gated global releases (Japan, EU, ANZ).
• Coordinate high‑frequency, complex releases across distributed teams and stakeholders.
• Drive tooling adoption (Artifactory, CI pipelines, PR checklists) across teams.
