Job summary

SOLV Energy is looking for a Senior Relay Technician to lead and execute testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protective relays. This remote position requires extensive travel to various jobsites. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or Engineering, have a minimum of five years of industry experience, and possess strong troubleshooting skills. Benefits include medical, dental, and a 401(k) plan, with a competitive salary range of $143,652.00 - $179,566.00.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant industry experience.
• NETA Level III or IV Certification preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety briefings and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Perform testing of Transmission Line protection and Communication.
• Train and qualify Relay Technician I/II and entry-level engineers.

Skills

Troubleshooting skills for transmission and distribution systems

Hands-on experience testing and maintaining protective relays

Proficiency with relay testing software and equipment

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or Engineering
