Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Senior Relay Technician to lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protective relays and control systems for electrical substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems. This remote role, requiring substantial travel, is critical in ensuring compliance with industry standards while overseeing safety and team training. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Technology and at least five years of relevant experience, alongside strong troubleshooting skills. Qualifications

• Minimum of five years relevant industry experience.
• NETA Level III or IV Certification preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety briefings to mitigate workplace hazards.
• Perform acceptance, commissioning, functional, and end-to-end testing.
• Train and qualify Relay Technician I/II and entry-level engineers.

Skills

Troubleshooting skills for transmission and distribution systems

Proficiency with various relay testing software and equipment

Hands-on experience testing and maintaining protective relays

Education
