Job summary

SOLV Energy is looking for a Senior Relay Technician to lead the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protective relays within electrical substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems. The role requires significant travel and offers a compensation range of $143,652 to $179,566 annually. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant industry experience.
• NETA Level III or IV Certification preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety briefings and identify hazards.
• Perform acceptance, commissioning, functional, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze relay event records and disturbance reports.
• Train and qualify Relay Technician I/II and entry-level engineers.

Skills

Troubleshooting skills for transmission and distribution systems

Hands-on experience testing and maintaining protective relays

Proficiency with various relay testing software and equipment

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Engineering
