Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager SR I to acquire and manage small business and personal relationships nationwide, collaborating with RBC USWM Financial Advisors to deliver CNB capabilities.

The role is primarily remote with some in-market collaboration to optimize synergy, and emphasizes consultative introductions, risk management, and strong client service across CNB offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of direct sales experience required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a financial institution required.
• Banking products knowledge for personal and business clients.
• Regulatory/compliance understanding (CIP & KYC).
• Economic understanding and ability to review client financials.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and facilitate new small business and personal relationships while managing a portfolio of existing clients to achieve sales goals (deposits, lending and fee income).
• Develop a defined strategy for engaging RBC USWM Financial Advisors for client introductions and follow-up.
• Manage a portfolio of existing clients and deepen relationships through cross-selling with RBC USWM Financial Advisors and SME colleagues.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience — ensure needs are met, escalations resolved, and consistent delivery.
• Improve banking acumen and sales practices through collaboration and training resources.
• Capture holistic view of client needs and provide sound financial advice based on data insights.
