Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field with four years of experience.
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field with two years of experience.
• Computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, word processing and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and in-depth analysis; identifies alternatives and recommends plans.
• Manages reimbursement processes and monitors hospital finance staff interactions.
• Prepares monthly Medicare and Medicaid settlements using appropriate methodologies.
• Prepares or reviews cost reports and audits; files appeals to maximize reimbursement.
• Mentors reimbursement staff; coordinates training and review of team members.
• Maintains current knowledge of reimbursement laws/regulations and applies changes.
• Delivers projects on scope, deadlines and stakeholder expectations; documents procedures.
• Communicates potential impacts of reimbursement changes to leadership and teams.
• Oversees 2+ hospitals or 1+ hospital with Central Office assignments.
