Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a reimbursement-focused professional for a fully remote role serving facilities within the Peaks Regional Office framework. The position involves Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies, cost reporting, and settlement calculations.

You will collaborate across Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, Government Relations, and Executive Leadership to optimize reimbursement outcomes while adhering to federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in data analysis.
• Strong computer skills (spreadsheets, databases, word processing, Internet).
• Experience with third-party financial accounting, contractual allowances, cost reports and surveys

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and non-routine tasks with in-depth analysis; identifies alternatives and recommends solutions.
• Manages reimbursement processes and interacts with HIM, PAS, and hospital finance staff.
• Prepares monthly Medicare and Medicaid settlement and policy reserve calculations.
• Prepares or reviews cost reports and surveys; reviews audit adjustments and settlements; files appeals.
• Mentors staff and coordinates training in reimbursement functions.
• Manages project scope, deadlines, and deliverables; documents procedures and standards.
• Assesses changes in reimbursement and communicates impacts to leadership.
