Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in quantum science or related field.
• Expertise in Python and/or C++, with Qiskit or similar quantum SDKs.
• Hands-on experience developing or optimizing quantum algorithms in chemistry, optimization, or ML.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize novel quantum algorithms and end-to-end workflows for scientific and commercial impact.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to define and solve problems on IonQ trapped‑ion quantum computers.
• Benchmark innovations and publish results in peer‑reviewed venues.
• Support initiatives that drive new scientific discoveries and innovation.
