Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Tester to support a VA project. This role can be fully remote in the U.S. with eligibility for public trust clearance. You will craft and run UI and API tests, automate test scripts, and contribute to CI/CD quality and release readiness.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define coverage, document metrics, and improve testing practices. Strong communication, detail-orientation, and SDLC understanding are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 5+ years experience (Masters with 3+ years).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain public trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, document, and execute test cases aligned to requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain UI automated tests using Playwright.
• Design, develop, and maintain API tests to validate services and data flows.
• Report defects and provide test metrics and status to stakeholders.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to support regression and releases.
• Define and promote test engineering practices and standards across teams.
• Collaborate and share best practices to improve quality continuously.
• Translate business processes into technical test requirements.
