Job summary

Uasmart is seeking a Senior Python Backend Developer to own backend development for US-based clients in a remote capacity. You will build scalable Python services, REST APIs with Django/FastAPI, and manage cloud environments on AWS or GCP.

The role requires hands-on AI development experience, strong communication, and a track record of delivering robust, scalable backend systems with PostgreSQL, Docker, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of strong professional Python experience.
• Strong experience with Django and/or FastAPI.
• Experience developing REST APIs.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
• Experience with Redis and Celery.
• Strong testing practices using Pytest.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Hands‑on AI development experience — Mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills — Mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of backend development and application delivery.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Build REST APIs using Django and/or FastAPI.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL-based applications.
• Work with AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Work with Redis and Celery for caching and asynchronous task processing.
• Implement strong automated testing practices using Pytest.
• Use Git for source-code management and collaboration.
• Contribute to AI-focused application development.
• Communicate directly with US‑based clients and project stakeholders.
