We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substation Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is remote, allowing you to work from home while making a significant impact. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing substation projects ranging from 15 kV to 500 kV. The role requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high voltage substation projects from 15 kV to 500 kV, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Manage the project lifecycle from conception to commissioning, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Perform calculations like relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with project teams including managers, designers, and drafters.
• Use SCADA systems to monitor and control substation operations.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Substation Project Engineer or similar role.
• Proficient in SCADA systems and high voltage substation design.
• Experience with project lifecycle management.
• Skilled in relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
