Job summary

Core Specialty is seeking a Claims Technical Specialist to lead high-severity first-party Property claims in a remote capacity across the U.S. The role includes direct handling and oversight of TPAs, with a focus on coverage issues, liability, and damages evaluation.

The candidate should have 5+ years in Commercial Property claims, an active adjuster license, and strong skills in negotiation, communication, and process improvement. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years Commercial Property claims experience.
• Active Adjuster license(s) as required.
• Experience in TX/FL markets preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building damage estimating.
• Understanding of regulatory environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established claim handling guidelines regarding coverage, investigation, liability, damages evaluation and resolution.
• Provide technical oversight and direction to TPA claim handlers.
• Appropriately evaluate insurance contracts, including timely identification of coverage issues.
• Effectively manage claim diaries to maintain progress toward claim resolution.
• Provide oversight and/or direct claim handling in accordance with jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
• Travel as needed to handle claims.
• Represent the company’s interests in claim market meetings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Property Division by evaluating and implementing processes to improve customer service, technical excellence and efficiency.
