Job summary

For People is a team of technologists modernizing government digital services for vulnerable populations. As Product Manager on a CMS project, you will voice user needs, craft the roadmap, and ensure the team builds the right system for a vital government service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Product Owner on complex software, reporting, or data projects.
• Proven track record shipping products while working with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts.
• Experience leading requirements-gathering processes and writing clear, actionable user stories.

Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery and requirements-gathering with senior government stakeholders to define the product vision.
• Translate complex policy goals and user needs into clear user stories, specifications, and a backlog for the tech team.
• Lead roadmap reviews with stakeholders and prioritize data science work into an actionable roadmap.
• Serve as bridge between client and technical team; explain technical concepts to stakeholders when needed.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog to maximize valuable features within the aggressive timeline.
• Champion a user-centered approach for a solution that federal staff will operate effectively.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and product demonstrations to gather feedback and drive alignment.
• Contribute to risk register documenting decision points and tradeoffs.
