Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) in delivering BMC3 software and hosting environments for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). The role focuses on end-to-end software development, secure hosting, and cross-functional integration for space and ground systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle and Agile development practices.
Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud computing, and secure hosting environments.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages.
Active security clearance (minimum Secret level, TS/SCI preferred).
Leadership or management experience in technical programs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting BMC3 software development for the PWSA and cloud-hosted environments.
Drive all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Develop and optimize secure hosting environments for mission-critical space applications.
Provide technical oversight in integrating software components for space and ground system architectures.
Troubleshoot complex issues in development, testing, and operational environments with cybersecurity focus.
Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance capabilities and security.
Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation and technical growth.
