Job summary

Zendesk is building App Foundry and related internal platforms to empower teams to turn AI ideas into governed capabilities. You will contribute as a hands‑on backend engineer in the Mexico City remote team, reporting to the Platform Team Director, partnering with global teams across time zones.

You’ll design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, while enabling reusable patterns, secure access, and durable production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years building and operating backend services or platform software in enterprise or SaaS environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript/Node; APIs, data models, integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, data stores, and cloud infrastructure for App Foundry and AI platform on GCP.
• Create reusable integration and deployment patterns for product teams and business builders.
