Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to drive complex network migration programs for our US customers. This remote role collaborates across Planning, Engineering, Construction, and Operations to deliver migration roadmaps while balancing priorities and risks.

You will manage schedules, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations, with occasional overnight customer migrations and a focus on continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting telecommunications, network migration, infrastructure, or transformation programs.
• Knowledge of network planning, implementation, and operations.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in complex environments.
• Customer-facing experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of project management, reporting tools, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Migration Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain migration plans, schedules, and roadmaps.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Planning, Engineering, Construction, Implementation, Operations, vendors, and customers.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks to migration schedules and customer commitments.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate migration plans, schedules, risks, and requirements; support customer meetings and issue resolution.
• Reporting & Program Support: Maintain migration trackers, metrics, and status reporting; provide schedule forecasts and updates.
