Job summary

YLD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a client team, delivering high-traffic digital products using PHP on Craft CMS. You will collaborate with client engineers and a product designer on ongoing features and a major migration from a legacy CMS, with UI/UX rework in scope.

Qualifications

Strong PHP development experience with Craft CMS production work.
Experience migrating content from legacy CMS platforms; Craft CMS templating understanding beneficial.
Frontend collaboration with designers for UI/UX rework, responsive and accessible design.
Database design and query optimisation in relational databases; SQL familiarity.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain features on Craft CMS; ensure production quality with short feedback loops.
Migrate legacy CMS to Craft CMS, including UI/UX rework; target mid-2026 launch.
Collaborate with client engineers and a product designer on engineering initiatives.
Mentor teammates and share knowledge across the team.
Participate in show-and-tell sessions and promote work to the broader team.
Monitor production systems and ensure SLA adherence.
Apply judgement on when to use emerging tools, including AI.
