Job summary

Gainwell Technologies seeks a Pharmacy Claims/Application Developer to design, develop, and support batch processing apps in Linux/Unix. You will guide teams, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and collaborate with analysts, QA, and stakeholders to ensure compliant results.

The role emphasizes cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and Medicaid system knowledge, with a fully remote US work option and travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Application Development, Technical Leadership and Batch Programming using C, Unix, and Linux.
• 5+ years leading technical teams and supporting all SDLC phases in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• 5+ years of SQL Server and/or Oracle experience including data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Change Management, Release Planning, Production Deployments and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Medicaid Pharmacy Healthcare Systems areas (claims/reference, PBM, Drug Rebate, ProdDur).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support complex batch processing applications in Linux/Unix.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and solution design across SDLC and teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Analyze and resolve database issues using SQL Server and/or Oracle; perform root-cause analysis.
• Support deployments, releases, and modernization via automation, cloud tech, and DevOps practices.
• Contribute to Medicaid healthcare systems and develop technical documentation and guides.
