Actalent is seeking a Remote PCB Designer Xpedition to define and implement spacecraft PCB subsystems. The Sr. Design Engineer will own layout activities, emphasize Mentor Xpedition, and collaborate across design, test, and manufacturing teams for space-grade boards.

Candidate should have 7+ years in PCB layout, strong signal/power integrity experience, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. This remote role runs on a contract basis with Redmond, WA oversight and space-focused deliverables.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of PCB layout design experience using industry-standard PCB design suites.
• Recent hands-on experience with Mentor Xpedition.
• Strong knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity in PCB design.
• Experience designing high-speed circuits and high current density boards.
• Capability to lead small teams and coordinate 3rd party layout services.
• Bachelors degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Define and implement PCB subsystems for spacecraft hardware.
• Own PCB layout using Mentor Xpedition and other suites.
• Oversee design through concept, verification, and fabrication release.
• Ensure manufacturability with test, assembly, and material considerations.
• Design high-speed and high-current circuits with signal integrity focus.
• Translate designs via schematic capture to optimized layouts.
• Manage multiple PCB projects in parallel with timely delivery.
• Coordinate 3rd party layout services and review deliverables.
• Test and debug boards with standard lab equipment; drive corrective actions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PCB designs into subsystems.
• Support DFM activities for space-grade PCBs when applicable.
• Apply knowledge of reliability in extreme environments.
