Baker Tilly US is seeking a Senior Payroll Consultant to join our Human Resources & Payroll Consulting team. You will support a variety of client engagements focused on payroll operations, compliance, and process improvement, working closely with experienced teammates to deliver high-quality solutions.

This role is mostly remote, with requirement to be within 50 miles of Baker Tilly offices in select states, and offers exposure to diverse industries, strong client service, and opportunities to

Qualifications

• 3 years of payroll experience in consulting, payroll provider, or in-house function.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and multistate regulations.
• Experience with payroll tax forms and filings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
• CPP certification is preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll consulting engagements for a range of clients and geographies.
• Assess and improve client payroll processes, controls, and procedures.
• Perform multistate payroll compliance reviews for federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist with payroll setup and configuration, including earnings and deductions.
• Communicate payroll concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to project deliverables and ensure timely completion.
