Job summary

Stanford University School of Medicine seeks a strategic Project Manager to support precancer research, clinical initiatives, and operational excellence at Canary Center and Cancer Clinical Trials Office. You will lead cross-functional programs from inception to completion, coordinating clinical, research, and administrative stakeholders to deliver timely outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in cancer research (Doctoral preferred) with 5+ years in oncology trial management,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management and regulatory experience in oncology trials.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multi-site grants.
• Regulatory knowledge: HIPAA and related processes.
• Ability to manage complex regulatory tasks (IRB submissions, DUAs/MTAs, trials.gov).
• Strong analytical, budgeting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to present at meetings.
• Experience with medical research databases and related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage research programs with diverse stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
• Analyze data, create reports, review trends and advise on improvements.
• Teach or assist in courses; develop curriculum and gather feedback.
• Prepare proposals, grants, and other program-related documents.
• Support strategic planning and financial sustainability for programs.
• Mentor program staff and contribute to outreach and partnerships.
