Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced nonprofit accounting professional for a fully remote role with occasional in-person meetings in the DC metro area. The position oversees AR, travel reimbursements, accounts payable, and month-end close while ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.

You must reside in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia for periodic meetings. The role offers a home office stipend and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven finance team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in a professional setting.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred (1–2 years).
• Experience with Sage (or Sage Intacct) and Paycom preferred.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounts receivable, including invoice generation, cash application, and reconciliations.
• Review and approve staff travel reimbursements and expense reports; assist with system setups.
• Administer corporate card program and support accounts payable workflows.
• Record, report, and analyze daily transactions; drive process improvements.
• Support month-end close, semi-annual reviews, and annual compliance filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage confidential fiscal documents.
• Handle sponsorship billing and liaison duties for former executive agreements.
• Resolve ledger discrepancies and interpret contracts and financial data.
