Job summary
UFP Site Built is seeking a Multifamily Designer to accurately design roof and floor trusses, walls, and components for multi-family and commercial projects. Remote-friendly full-time role based in Burlington, NC.
The designer will optimize designs for efficiency, review orders and data for accuracy, and assist sales and production with design services and troubleshooting. Proficiency with Mitek and MS Office is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in related field.
- Experience with Mitek software preferred.
- Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and ability to spec out beams and hangars.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Responsibilities
- Designs metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
- Optimizes designs for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
- Reviews orders, layouts, and data files for correctness and completeness.
- Assists sales and production with design service and troubleshooting; initiates corrective action as needed.
- Prepares various reports as required.
