Job summary

UFP Site Built is seeking a Truss Designer to accurately design roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects. You will design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels using Mitek, optimize designs for efficiency, and review orders and data for accuracy.

Responsibilities include assisting sales and production with design services and troubleshooting, with additional duties as required. The role offers multiple locations in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in roof/floor truss design.
• Working knowledge of Mitek software preferred.
• Knowledge of floor and roof systems; ability to spec beams and hangars.

Responsibilities

• Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels using Mitek.
• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency.
• Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy.
• Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting.
• Performs other duties as required.
