Job summary

You will work with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to design AI products like AI Assistant and autonomous agents, influencing travel planning and guest experiences.

Role requires deep expertise in Python/PyTorch, 10+ years in ML at scale, and a PhD.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience with developing machine learning models and products at scale.
• Proficient in Python and PyTorch.
• Experience training, fine-tuning, optimizing models and inference.
• Post-training data processing for fine-tuning; responsible LLMs; alignment; RL; efficient training and inference; evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune state-of-the-art LLMs for diverse use cases.
• Optimize models for high-performance deployment on Airbnb’s ML infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, data scientists and operations teams to develop AI products.
• Develop AI tools such as AI Assistant, Autonomous agent, recommendations and travel planning features.
• Evaluate and iterate on models, guardrails and evaluation automation to ensure robust deployments.
