Alex and Ani, LLC is seeking a Senior Merchandise Planner to steer inventory and demand planning across DTC, Amazon US/CA/MX, and wholesale. You will own day-to-day execution from line-level planning to inventory health with autonomy and sound judgment.

This role offers hands-on experience across a scaling multi-channel business within an established consumer brand, requiring strong forecasting and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning or inventory management.
• Experience across DTC, marketplaces (e.g., Amazon) and wholesale channels.
• Strong forecasting, inventory tracking and promotional planning knowledge.
• Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with BI tools like Looker is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive demand forecasts for an assigned category or channel with alignment to strategy.
• Analyze historical sales, trends, seasonality, and market dynamics to refine plans.
• Translate forecasts into inventory recommendations to optimize service levels.
• Monitor inventory health across channels and identify stockout or excess risks.
• Lead monthly Open-to-Buy processes and variance tracking with accuracy.
• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and finance on replenishment and lead times.
• Identify process improvements and explore AI-enabled planning tools.
