Job summary

Blu Omega seeks a Senior Health Analytics Consultant to support Medicaid analytics and health policy initiatives, analyzing complex datasets to inform program and policy decisions.

The role requires strong coding skills (SQL, Python, or R) and the ability to translate findings for technical and policy stakeholders, with a remote-friendly setup and public trust eligibility requirement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, health policy research, or consulting.
• Hands-on experience with Medicaid claims, encounter, eligibility, or provider data.
• Experience with T-MSIS (Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System) data.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for large-scale data analysis.
• Knowledge of Medicaid data structures, claims, encounters, and utilization.
• Experience with multi-state Medicaid data and data differences.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex data insights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Medicaid claims analysis, including encounter, eligibility, and provider data.
• Support data quality, validation, and reconciliation across large healthcare datasets.
• Develop and verify analysis parameters, and produce technical documentation.
• Write efficient, high-quality code in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis.
• Translate complex Medicaid data findings for technical, policy, and client stakeholders.
