Job summary

FICO is seeking a Manager, Communications & Storytelling for its Software business to translate complex technology into clear, credible stories for reporters, analysts, customers and executives. You will shape platform narratives, develop executive thought leadership, and collaborate with product, analytics, legal and marketing teams across regions.

You’ll lead development of high‑impact communications materials, pitch proactive angles, and manage media inquiries while guiding PR agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in PR/communications.
• 3–6 years in media relations or communications in B2B technology or financial services.
• Ability to simplify complex technology topics and craft clear messages for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated communications strategies that raise awareness and credibility for FICO’s software business.
• Create proactive storytelling angles and timely newsjacks centered on FICO platform stories.
• Build and maintain relationships with technology, financial services, trade, and business reporters; pitch stories and handle media inquiries.
• Write high-quality press materials, Q&As, talking points, and executive bylines.
• Drive executive thought leadership from intake to speaker prep and social content; support events.
• Prepare spokespeople for interviews and media engagements to ensure clear messaging.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, legal, marketing and regional teams to keep communications accurate and aligned with business priorities.
• Monitor media trends and identify opportunities; report insights to stakeholders.
• Manage PR agency projects and ensure deliverables stay on track.
• Contribute to stories that connect FICO’s software and technology to broader community impact work.
