Job summary

FICO is seeking a Manager, Corporate Communications for its Software business to shape the platform narrative, coordinate cross-functional teams, and amplify executive thought leadership.

You will develop proactive storytelling, craft press materials, and coordinate with product, analytics, legal, marketing, and regional teams. This remote role offers competitive compensation and opportunities to influence outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3–6 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications, with meaningful experience in B2B technology communications and/or financial services.
• B2B technology, software, AI, fraud, financial services, retail banking industry experience preferred.
• Proven ability to simplify complex technology topics and craft clear messages for business, trade, and mainstream media audiences.
• Well versed in engaging reporters across technology, financial, and business outlets and tailoring stories to audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated communications strategies to increase awareness and credibility for FICO’s software business and platform story.
• Create proactive storytelling angles and newsjacking to position FICO at industry center.
• Build relationships with technology, financial services reporters, pitch stories, and manage inbound media inquiries.
• Write high-quality communications materials: press releases, pitches, Q&A, talking points, briefing docs, blogs, and bylines.
• Drive executive thought leadership from intake to speaker prep and content at events.
• Prepare spokespeople for interviews and media engagements, ensuring clarity and consistent messaging.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, legal, marketing, and regional teams to ensure accurate, timely communications.
• Monitor media trends and identify opportunities and risks.
• Track earned media performance and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Manage PR agency projects from planning to execution and keep stakeholders informed.
• Contribute to community impact storytelling around fraud and education initiatives.
