Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Manager, Smart Buildings & Connected Environments to lead technology-enabled building strategies across markets. You will guide IoT, analytics, and digital workplace initiatives, and work closely with clients to define strategies that improve experience and efficiency.

The role emphasizes business development, cross-functional leadership, and setting standards for enterprise deployments, with a hybrid work model anchored in US locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, IT, Building Systems, Construction Management, or related field +8 years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in smart buildings, workplace technology, building systems integration, consulting, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading client engagements and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of building technologies and digital workplace environments.
• Experience supporting business development and proposal efforts.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Smartsheets or other Project Management platforms

Responsibilities

• Serve as a client-facing subject matter expert for smart buildings and connected environments.
• Lead development of smart building roadmaps and implementation strategies.
• Provide technical oversight and consulting leadership for project execution.
• Support multi-site and enterprise-wide technology deployments.
• Develop standards, governance frameworks, and deployment methodologies.
• Mentor staff and support capability development across IX.
• Establish relationships with technology manufacturers, software providers, and industry organizations.
