Job summary

CohnReznick, a national professional services firm, seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Real Estate Client Accounting Advisory team. Hybrid/remote role with potential office presence for client work, meetings, or training.

The role focuses on leading accounting engagements, driving business development, and mentoring staff across global teams while delivering premium client service in construction and real estate industries.

Qualifications

• BA required. MBA and/or CPA license a plus.
• Experience leading business development and sales initiatives.
• Proven ability to drive and lead corporate accounting processes and procedures such as cash management, AR/AP, month end close, payroll and benefits.
• Experience with CAM reconciliations, tenant billbacks, and maintaining tenant ledgers.
• Strong GAAP experience along with hands on experience performing controllership functions related to consolidations, GL close and financial reporting.
• Strong Real Estate experience.
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, being highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Real Estate accounting team, ensuring timely client delivery and quality work.
• Lead complex client engagements for contractors and construction firms with best practices and profitability.
• Review WIP schedules, backlog reports, gross profit analyses, and project metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
• Provide guidance on cash flow management, working capital optimization, and overhead allocation methodologies.
• Mentor and develop managers and staff in construction accounting methodologies and client relationships.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of new staff and cross-selling opportunities.
