Job summary

Kiva.org is seeking a Senior Manager, Public Relations to lead the PR and media backbone of our Communications & Influence team from a remote US-based position. You will shape campaigns with partners, drive thought leadership amplification, and ensure data-driven storytelling using borrower stories and impact metrics.

You will own LinkedIn strategy, coordinate cross-functional campaigns, and surface opportunities at conferences and with strategic partners.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in public relations and media relations, including direct media pitching.
• Experience developing and executing thought leadership strategy, including narrative development, channel activation, and positioning senior leaders as industry voices.
• Experience managing multi-partner communications or marketing campaigns, coordinating execution across internal teams and external partner organizations simultaneously.
• Preferred: experience working within a PR agency, or managing a PR agency relationship client-side.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Sprout (or an equivalent social publishing and listening platform), Air (or an equivalent digital asset management system), Looker (or an equivalent data and reporting tool), Dovetail (or an equivalent research and insights repository), and Salesforce (or an equivalent CRM).

Responsibilities

• Advance Kiva's PR and thought leadership goals with the Director and firm partners.
• Pull borrower stories, impact stats, and metrics to support media outreach.
• Own Muck Rack, tracking, reporting and local media lists.
• Maintain PR resources for partners to enable media opportunities.
• Localized pitching for community-based media coverage.
• Surface opportunities with Impact Investments and Strategic Partnerships.
• Identify and execute campaigns with partners, hubs, and foundations.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Creative to briefs and assets.
• Own Kiva's LinkedIn strategy and content amplification.
• Amplify leadership narratives across channels and events.
• Pursue speaking and conference opportunities for leadership.
• Own team reporting and share insights with cross-functional teams.
