Job summary

Credit Acceptance seeks a Manager of Predictive Modeling & Machine Learning to lead development and deployment of statistical and ML models across credit risk, collections, and business operations. This hands-on leader will combine traditional modeling with modern ML and MLOps practices to drive strategic decisions.

The role is work-from-home with occasional travel to Southfield, Michigan. Base salary ranges from $158,000 to $170,000 plus bonus; excellent benefits and a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in predictive modeling and analytics.
• 5+ years of experience applying ML in production environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical tools such as R and SAS.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree must have been earned at an accredited institution of higher education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of predictive models for credit risk, collections, and operations.
• Mentor and support junior and peer-level data scientists.
• Promote adoption of modern data-science tools and platforms.
• Present insights to senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive experimentation with emerging techniques such as causal inference and GenAI.
• This position is a work-from-home role; travel to Southfield may be required.
