General Motors (GM) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Motorsports Data Infrastructure and Data Science teams, delivering a unified data platform from raw telemetry to AI-enabled insights for race programs. You will combine leadership with hands-on technical authority, setting standards and architecture for real-time and batch processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering, software engineering, or data science with production distributed data platforms.
• 5+ years leading engineering or data science teams including managing managers while remaining hands-on.
• Deep expertise with Azure Databricks and Azure data services (ADLS, Event Hubs, AKS, Key Vault).
• Proven record of taking ML/AI into production, including MLOps and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Motorsports Data Infrastructure and Data Science teams through their managers, aligning on a single delivery model.
• Architect pipelines and platforms, prototype ML and GenAI solutions, review code, and support critical issues during race weekends.
• Own the motorsports data platform roadmap (ingestion, streaming, lakehouse, governance, AI/ML enablement).
• Unify real-time and batch data pipelines across telemetry, timing, and trackside data using Databricks, Delta Lake, Kafka/Event Hubs, Spark/Flink.
