Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Manager, Clinical Operations in FSP to lead a cross‑functional team, coach staff, and drive performance using metrics while ensuring SOP and regulatory compliance.

This REMOTE role has a West Coast preference and requires strong leadership, trial monitoring expertise, collaboration with senior management, and the ability to adapt to evolving processes. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading clinical operations teams.
• Knowledge of ICH/GCP and FDA guidelines.
• West Coast candidate preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coach and direct staff with performance management.
• Conduct performance appraisals and career discussions.
• Induction/orientation programs for new hires.
• Maintain up-to-date CVs, training records, and timesheets.
• Support allocation and project leads to optimize operations.
• Deliver training on WPDs and SOPs; identify gaps.
• Ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
• Alert management to quality issues and facilitate audits.
• Review systems (Activate, CTMS, Clarity) for metrics.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning.
• Contribute to bids and procurement where required.
• Lead initiatives to improve department performance.
