Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and modernize mission-critical railway dispatch and control applications. The role emphasizes Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud-native tech to deliver high-availability services in railway environments.

Responsibilities include building scalable backend services, developing responsive web apps, and enabling CI/CD, testing, and DevOps practices. Remote role with US-based locations supported.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering or enterprise development.
• Strong Java, Spring, Angular, and REST/Microservices experience.
• Cloud-native apps with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and AWS.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Agile/Scrum environment exposure; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend services with Java, Spring, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Develop responsive Angular front-ends and RESTful integrations.
• Design cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes and containers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and peers to deliver railway dispatch software.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and DevOps efforts.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and maintain high availability production apps.
• Contribute to test automation and quality engineering initiatives.
