Capgemini is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer – Railway Dispatch Systems to support design, development, and modernization of mission-critical railway applications. This role requires Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud-native expertise, with high-availability enterprise experience.

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer – Railway Dispatch Systems to support the design, development, and modernization of mission-critical railway dispatch and control applications. This role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud-native technologies, along with experience delivering high-availability enterprise applications within railway operations environments. Design, develop, and enhance railway dispatch and control system applications.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend services using Java, Advanced JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Develop responsive web applications using Angular.
• Design and implement cloud-native applications leveraging Kubernetes and containerized architectures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver reliable railway operations solutions.
• Participate in application architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Support CI/CD implementation, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices.
• Ensure application reliability, performance, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Contribute to test automation and quality engineering initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and delivery activities.

At least 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Full Stack Development, or Enterprise Application Development.

Requirements

• Mandatory experience in Railway Dispatch Control systems and railway operations environments.
• Strong expertise in Java, Advanced JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience developing web applications using Angular.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud platform services.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience supporting production environments and high-availability enterprise applications.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and quality engineering practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
