Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Java/Full-Stack engineer in Jersey City, onsite. You will design and build enterprise-scale applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices; collaborate with global teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate REST APIs.

The role requires strong SQL Server/DB2 skills, experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and a proactive approach to performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years enterprise-level app development with Core Java and Spring Boot.
• 5+ years with Angular (high performance, responsive UI).
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server, DB2) and data modeling.
• Experience with microservices, Kafka, REST API development.
• Understanding of full-stack Java architecture, REST, microservices and system integration patterns.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications to distributed platforms.
• Nice to have: experience in Alternatives/Private Market or Banking/Financial/Wealth management; Python is a plus.
• Experience with containerization technologies Docker and Kubernetes.
