Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a senior Java developer with Liferay knowledge for an international organization. This is a 100% remote position with a European schedule and fluency in English. You will work on CMS migrations, multilingual websites, LDAP integration, and the development of Liferay modules and themes.

The role requires +5 to +10 years of Java experience, strong Liferay CMS expertise, RESTful APIs, Angular, JSON and XML, and a commitment to long-term involvement with a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree or comparable through experience.
• +5 to +10 years of Java development experience.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Angular, JSON and XML.
• Expert in Liferay CMS with migrations, themes, fragments, and widgets.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Import content from OpenCms to Liferay DXP (multilingual, metadata, taxonomy).
• Develop multilingual websites and integrate LDAP with users, groups and permissions.
• Create Liferay themes, layouts, page templates and fragments following the Web Style Guide.
• Develop Liferay custom modules and portlets.
• Integrate Google search and provide daily updates with the team.
