Job summary

InductiveHealth, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Senior HL7 and Interoperability Subject Matter Expert to lead public health data exchange, HL7 v2 messaging, and FHIR-based integration. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Quality, Implementation, and Client teams to translate standards into reliable functionality and robust test scenarios.

This role requires strong SQL, data quality, patient matching, REST/SOAP, OAuth 2.0, and SMART on FHIR experience.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in HL7 v2.x messaging and immunization data workflows.
• Strong understanding of HL7, FHIR R4, CDC guidance, IIS workflows, and data exchange patterns.
• Experience translating technical standards and business requirements into clear docs, tests, and behavior.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of message validation, data quality, and interoperability issues in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the org's expert for HL7 v2 immunization messaging, IIS workflows, and interoperability standards.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, Implementation, and Client teams to design and support interoperability solutions.
• Translate HL7/FHIR/CDC requirements into product functionality, requirements, and test scenarios.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex interoperability and data quality issues in production.
• Lead and support FHIR initiatives (SMART on FHIR, Bulk Data Exchange, patient matching).
• Guide IZ Gateway implementations and cross-jurisdictional data exchange with IIS and federal partners.
• Analyze interoperability and operational data using SQL to identify trends and root causes.
• Represent the organization in industry workgroups and interoperability forums.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve standards analysis and data quality investigations.
