Lydian Energy is seeking a Senior High Voltage Engineer to lead design reviews, equipment specifications, and HV system validation for PV and BESS projects, spanning 34.5kV to 800kV. You will ensure technical compliance and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable HV solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in HV systems, EPC coordination, and experience with substations, protection schemes, relays, and SCADA integrations, along with a PE license or progression toward

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as electrical/power systems engineer or equivalent.
• Experience with HV equipment 115kV–345kV+, including design, testing and commissioning.
• Familiarity with PV or energy storage controls and protection design.
• Strong leadership, accountability and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and review designs and technical standards for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
• Manage engineering services providers and consultants.
• Provide technical support during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Lead protection testing, relay validation and SCADA integration activities.
• Interface with EPCs, OEMs and subcontractors to close scope gaps.
