Job summary
Vantage Data Centers seeks a Principal SME, Utility & Grid Infrastructure to lead utility engagement, grid interconnection and transmission infrastructure across global markets. You will establish technical standards, assess regulatory considerations, and partner with regional teams to enable scalable and reliable power delivery for hyperscale data center deployments.
The role requires deep expertise in utility interfaces, power quality, substation design and large-scale interconnection
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years in utility systems, transmission and distribution, grid interconnection or power system engineering.
- Experience with utilities, ISOs, RTOs, or large-load interconnection processes.
Responsibilities
- Be the technical authority for utility engagement, grid interconnection, transmission and distribution infrastructure, substations, power quality, tariffs and regulatory considerations.
- Collaborate with regional leads on utility and grid strategy for project implementation and site planning.
- Provide inputs to energy strategy, define engineering requirements and validate study assumptions.
- Develop standards, reference architectures and governance frameworks for grid-connected power systems.
